"I have been following Wynter’s work for a long time. From the moment I saw her first piece at a friend’s house I was in AWE. Her art has always inspired such deep thought, for me. There is a clean yet complex attribute to everything she creates. I’ve always been a lover of art that seems to hold more than a simple image. It has so much feeling that every look allows me to wake up to the world in a different way. My purchased art pieces always arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition. Can’t wait to see what she creates next."

I grew up in Kaysville, Utah and currently live in Portland, Oregon.  I have been drawing and painting for most of my life.  As a child I would obsess over capturing the subtleties in a face, rendering people over and over again.  After college my art began to shift into a realm of abstraction, where intangible marks began to merge with representational forms.  There has always been an element of impatient aggressiveness in my creative process, toggling back and forth between losing the image and re-defining it.  My creative interest lives in that space.  I see my marks on a surface as an attempt to impose permanence within impermanence, grasping for some rooted force as the quiet uncertainty of being permeates within.  To make art and teach art is where I explore the wonder that exists within the human condition, to make sense of the gap between seeing and knowing.
